BMW R 1250 GS - My personal experience
After taking an extra day to extensively test ride our two BMW R 1250 GS motorcycles, I can say with full conviction: these bikes are impressive! As a die-hard KTM rider, I was naturally curious to see how the BMW would compare - and I have to admit that the performance and riding experience are almost on a par!
The R 1250 GS impresses with an incredibly smooth gearbox that shifts like butter and a clutch that is much easier to operate. The lateral forces of the flywheel are also minimal and barely noticeable, which makes riding even more pleasant. The engine offers perfect, linear power delivery without any noticeable drop in performance - from the first torque to the maximum, the machine pulls consistently. A real highlight!
What I particularly like about the BMW R 1250 GS
Honestly, the only thing missing for my taste is the "kick in the ass" at around 6,000 rpm that I'm used to from my KTM bikes. But that's really just a small personal preference - the BMW delivers a fantastic performance overall, which is perfect for any adventure on the road or off-road!
